Every year, millions of people are visiting France, particularly the capital city, Paris. After all, the country is known for its culinary cuisines, magnificent structures like the Eiffel Tower, and, of course, for custom t shirts Canada and fashion.
It’s no surprise that many tourists are charmed with France. While it may be exciting to visit France, however, it is essential that you need to know what to wear when visiting this country. Just like other places, France experiences four seasons every year. Therefore, the attire that you must wear must be in line with the season.
Here are some of the outfits that you might want to wear depending on the season when visiting France and will most definitely make you look classy and blend in.
Spring (March to May)
For both men and women, wearing layers of clothing for this season is a good choice. Cotton or lightweight sweaters, T-shirts, buttoned-up shirts, or sleeve tops that are lengthy are great and can be a good match for fitted and well-cut pants or dark-colored jeans. To top it all, wear a pair of ankle boots, derbies, sneakers, or closed-toed shoes.
Summer (June to August)
For the summer season, it is recommended for women to wear light and breathable blouses since summer in the country can be a bit unpredictable. Summer can be hot but can also suddenly turn chilly.
Aside from light and breathable dresses such as maxi dresses, summer scarves can be a good addition to your look as well. To avert the unexpected drops in temperature, you can wear a cardigan or light jacket. Women can also wear jeans, preferably dark colored ones for the chilly days.
Skirts can also be ideal in this season. While short shorts can be tempting to wear in summer, if you want to mingle with, do not wear one. Frenchwomen are not fond of wearing such an outfit in public. Of course, accessories are needed like a hat and sunglasses to protect the face and eyes from the sun. It is a good idea to wear flats and sandals too.
For men, it is ideal to wear lightweight khaki trousers or a fine pair of jeans and simple shirts (sometimes custom T-Shirts will do, but just avoid wearing ones that are printed with home city/state or sports team).
Autumn (September to November)
Autumn in France is unpredictable as well. However, this season is also alluring. For women, it is a good time to wear some leather clothing, either a leather jacket or leather pants will do as these outfits are waterproof and wards off cold effectively. Women can still wear dresses though. However, it is better to wear stockings or tights to complement. Autumn is also a good time to wear trench coats for added warmth and comfort.
For men, a good pair of jeans or trousers can be better pair off with either a long sleeve shirt, heavy knit sweaters, or tweed jackets, typically made of a rough-surface woolen cloth
Winter (December to February)
Obviously, winter in France is damp and freezing. Therefore, it is necessary to wear several layers of clothes. For a start, buttoned-up shirts underneath a warm coat or jacket, sweaters, and long sleeve tops will do. Pair them off with either dark-colored jeans or bulky trousers, and you’re good to go.
More importantly, it is also wise to wear scarves and gloves to keep off the cold. Not to mention, these are also stylish for the season. During this time of the year, it is necessary to wear boots, especially ones that are waterproof and durable. They’re not only appropriate but comfortable as well.
